Treacle City News Archive

Treacle City Vol 1-1The Milford community began production of the newsletter Treacle City News in October 1983.  Here is the introduction on the first page of the initial newsletter:

‘After much discussion and counting of pennies, the representatives of the various village organisations have decided to combine their separate newsletters into a single publication.  It is to be distributed free, every month, to all householders from Red Lane to Derwent Avenue… This paper will reflect the views of all these organisations and we hope it will reflect your views as well.’

Here you can download the PDFs of those newsletters simply by clicking on the Treacle City front page.  As you’ll see, we have highlighted the main contents of each edition.

Many thanks to John Weaver for hours of scanning!
