Milford Social Club

Milford Social Club 001logoMilford Social Club – AKA The Sunshine Club –  has been an important facility for the local area for many years.

The building at the bottom of Sunny Hill was converted from the old Beehive pub and opened in 1902 as the Milford Institute.

A Reading Room and Institute had previously been housed in the Mill, but George Herbert Strutt wanted a separate building where residents could meet ‘for recreation, amusement, and instruction.’

Dancing DuckToday, the club offers a selection of cask and bottled ales (including Dancing Duck and Bass), premium lagers, fine wines, shorts, soft drinks, many other drinks and a selection of bar snacks.
