Nailed – Nailed is an independent newspaper ‘by and for the people of Belper.’  Their aim is ‘to provide up-to-date news, entertainment, a forum for thought-provoking discussion and to be a source of information for residents of Belper and surrounding areas.’

 

Belper Celebration – if you want to know about things to do in Belper or what’s going on in the town – and there’s always a lot – this is the site to go to.

 

Derwent Valley CyclewayDerwent Valley Cycle Way – This is a project to develop a cycleway through the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site.  This will be a ‘safe and family friendly, off road, multi-user cycle route’ from Matlock to Derby.  There is also a Facebook page which can be accessed here

 

 

Transition-Belper (3)_1Transition Belper – this is a group of local people who are exploring how they can increase our community’s ability to withstand the twin challenges of peak oil and climate change. Their activities are all aimed at making Belper and surrounding area a more sustainable place for us all to live, work and play, and at the same time reducing our impact on the planet and our individual and community carbon footprint.
